In a recent post about the reunion (Reunion was a great success), the posting showed a photo of various alumni just prior to everyone departing. That photo has been updated and now includes a caption identifying the alumni members.
New Picture of ENMS added
Check out the photo of what ENMS looked like as country club. (Photo provided by Jim Moody). Photo is located under Gallery, then select Campus.
“In Memorium”…It is my sad duty that I must update this page
It is my sad duty to inform everyone of those alumni who have passed away. Unfortunately, dates were not available. This information represents a culmination of various efforts. Many were discovered when contacting alumni to attend our last reunion. Additionally, the list is not in any particular order. Please send any updates by contacting me via the website, or simply posting that information.

Newly released book mentions ENMS
Received this from Jim Moody. Count Guido Deiro, Jr is an ENMS Alumnus. Very interesting guy. His father, Count Guido Sr., was a real Italian Count who became a vaudeville star. He was married to Mae West and this is the story of their lives, including a mention of ENMS. Count Guido, Jr is the author. He was the personal pilot for Howard Hughes
Guido’s new book (shown below) mentions our school. Note: This is not a sales pitch, rather information about the history of our school.
Our Reunion was a Great Success!
Recently we held our reunion at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura, California. Those in attendance had a memorable time, those unable to attend were missed. Cadets from throughout the years were represented, the 50’s, the 60’s, and the 70’s including from the final year when the school closed. Some were able to video chat via cell phone. Some were represented by family members, for instance,
Fred Jameson’s son attended. There were two tables for memorabilia… blankets, hats, uniform insignia, photos, newsletters, yearbooks, report cards. Simply unbelievable, brought back many memories.
Jeffrey Miller and Jim Moody spearheaded the event, provided coordination, and served as “Master of Ceremonies” for a well crafted program during the evening on Saturday. At the dinner everyone had an opportunity to share a favorite memory, who did you bring, years attended, etc. Highlights included favorite food (pancakes, or maybe it was our not so favorite food), smoker’s hole stories, and what folks have been doing during the last 50 years. For some meeting the challenges of everyday life, some served in the military including one alumni who attended the Naval Academy, some are retired while some are still working. Unfortunately, there was also an extensive “In Memoriam” listing of cadets no longer with us.
We all agreed the reunion was lots of fun, a chance to reminisce, and asking the question, “When’s the next one?”
Our Reunion is almost here!
Have you reserved your hotel room? Still time to get your discount, just mention your part of the ENMS alumni group. We want to see everyone there! Details listed on previous website update announcements.
