Rick was one great person. Even though I only went to ENMS with him for 2 years, I appreciated his friendship, humor, leadership and athletic ability that he brought to the school. He is one person we will never forget. My prayers also goes out to his family. RIP my friend.

Kathleen and I saw Rick the week before he was to begin a new cancer treatment. Once he heard my survival stories of the same and other cancers, and saw my humor in them, he began to laugh. He became his old self, full of life, the world is wonderful, and, “we need to write a book together on the humorous side of cancer.” That’s how good he was feeling.

This was a man who always saw the good in people and in life. He believed in hard work and sharing his knowledge and the blessings he had gained throughout his life. He is loved by many and will be sorely missed. Kathy, may our hearts and prayers surround you to help bring comfort and peace at this of mourning. Know too, that he is waiting for the time when both of you will be together again, forever.

My prayers go out to Kathy and the family. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to spend a day with Rick and 4 other alumni a few years ago. He will be missed by many.
